Ms Chaitali Panmei, IRS, has taken over the charge of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Karnataka and Goa on 11th August, 2022. She is a 1987 batch IRS officer.

Ms Panmei worked in various capacities in the fields of Assessment, Audit, ITAT, Appeals, International Taxation, Central charge etc. She worked across the country in Guwahati, Dimapur, Delhi, Agra, Shillong and Mumbai.

She attended the 52nd Course at National Defence College, New Delhi. She worked as Chief Vigilance Officer in Engineering Projects India Limited, Department of Heavy Industry New Delhi on Deputation.

Ms Panmei was part of the committee setup to revamp the Induction Training for Officer Trainees of the IRS. As part of the committee, she had made various recommendations for imparting the skills required for quality tax payer services and incorporating training on emergent areas like Information Technology and Operations.

Ms Panmei was posted in Mumbai as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax. Upon Promotion, she is posted as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Karnataka and Goa.

Shri M. Ravindra Sai IRS, is the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, (Intl. Tax.), South Zone, Bengaluru. He belongs to 1988 batch of Indian Revenue service ( IRS).

Born in 1963, Shri Ravindra Sai did BSc( physics) from Loyola college , Vijayawada and MSC( Tech) in Instrumentation Engineering from Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam.

He worked for a short while with IPCL (Indian petrochemicals) as Management trainee engineer before Joining the IRS . He also completed his LLB in 2017 from Osmania university Hyderabad.

Shri Ravindra Sai worked in various posts at Vijayawada, Guntur, Vizag, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Tiruchirappalli (Trichy)

He had undergone training in public administration at IIM Bangalore and in investigation at University of Maryland, Washington, USA

He was on deputation as Secretary in AP Electricity regulatory commission and also as Director (Tariff), Hyderabad between 2009-2011. He subsequently worked as Commissioner of Income Tax (Administration) for the region of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana up to Oct 2017. From 2017 to 2021 he worked as Principal Commissioner in Mumbai and has joined in Bangalore on promotion as Chief Commissioner in December 2021.

Smt. Shyama S. Bansia, IRS, is the Chief Commissioner of Income-Tax, Panaji. She belongs to 1988 batch of Indian Revenue service ( IRS).

Born in 1963, Smt. Shyama S Bansia did M.phil (Physics). She was working as lecturer in a Degree Collage at Jaipur before joining the department on 21.08.1989.

She has worked in Investigation directorate, Mumbai as Assistant/Deputy Director of Income Tax (Inv.), Deputy Director(Training) in DTRTI Mumbai. She was on deputation as a Director in Department of Economic Affairs and was posted in AAR (IT) as Secretary, as well as Additional Commissioner. Subsequently, she worked as Commissioner of Income-Tax (Appeal), Delhi, Principal Commissioner of Income-Tax, Nagpur and Principal Commissioner of Income-Tax, Jaipur and on promotion she has joined Panaji as Chief Commissioner.
